Azan Pathagar Hosts Grand Reception for GPA-5 Achievers and Guardians’ Gathering

In a festive celebration of academic excellence, Azan Pathagar organized a vibrant reception and guardians’ gathering today at the premises of Sufia Government Primary School in Mithanala. The event honored students who achieved GPA-5 (A+) in the 2025 Dakhil, SSC, and equivalent examinations.

This annual initiative by the traditional and community-centered Sufia Azan Pathagar aims to recognize and encourage meritorious students from the region. Presiding over the event was noted Islamic scholar and former Principal of Sufia Nuria Fazil Madrasa, Maulana Rezaul Haque Nizami.

The program commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Hafiz Md. Tanzil Hossain, followed by an inaugural speech from Md. Kefayet Ullah, President of Azan Pathagar.

Advocate Saifur Rahman, Deputy Attorney General of the Government of Bangladesh, attended as the chief guest. Professor Dr. Nesarul Karim, Chairman of the Department of Finance at the University of Chittagong, addressed the gathering as the keynote speaker.

Special guests included Maulana Nesarul Haque Nuri, Acting Principal of Sufia Nuria Fazil Madrasa; Maulana Shafiqul Islam Nizami, Principal of Abu Torab Fazil Madrasa; and Maulana Abu Zafar Nizami, Vice Principal of the same institution. Representing the guardians, Mr. Saiful Islam also delivered a heartfelt speech.

Among the honorees, Wasika Tabassum Mumu of Dr. Khastagir School and Lamisha Mehejabin of Moliyaish High School shared their thoughts and gratitude on behalf of the students.

The ceremony also featured speeches from Nurul Karim, Head Teacher of Mujaddide Alfesani Academy in Rangamati; Maulana Moniruzzaman, Associate Professor at Alamshahpara Kamil Madrasa; Maulana Kamal Uddin, a religious teacher from Mithanala School; Tushar Kanti Das, teacher at Moliyaish School; student representative Md. Ibrahim; and several others including Master Mahbubul Haque, Maulana Kalimullah, Master Shahadat Hossain, Mamunur Rashid, and Maulana Sanaullah.

The event was moderated by Kamrul Ahsan Habib, Secretary of Azan Pathagar, and Md. Abdullah Tarek, the IT Secretary. The entire program was successfully carried out with the support of the Pathagar’s dedicated committee members.

In total, 62 individuals, including students, guardians, and community figures from Ward No. 10 of Mithanala Union, were honored with crests, books, and educational supplies. As part of the event, Sufia Nuria Fazil Madrasa and Moliyaish High School were awarded commemorative plaques for their contributions to education.

The program concluded with a prayer of gratitude to Almighty Allah. The organizers of Azan Pathagar expressed their commitment to continuing such education-promoting initiatives in the future.
