Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has implemented a reshuffle involving officers-in-charge (OCs) at three key police stationsโChawkbazar, Bandar, and Chandgaon. The changes were made official on Wednesday afternoon through an office order signed by CMP Commissioner Hasib Aziz.
According to the order, the OC of Chawkbazar Police Station, Md. Zahedul Kabir, has been transferred to Chandgaon. In turn, Bandar Police Stationโs OC, Kazi Mohammad Sultan Ahsan Uddin, has been assigned to lead Chawkbazar Police Station. Meanwhile, Md. Aftab Uddin, who had been serving as the OC of Chandgaon, will now take over as OC of Bandar Police Station.
The transfers were confirmed by Md. Imran Hossain, Sub-Inspector of the CMPโs Media and Public Relations Division. Though no specific reason was mentioned in the directive, CMP sources noted that such rotations are part of routine administrative procedures aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of policing across the city.
The reshuffle comes amid ongoing efforts by CMP to optimize leadership within its precincts and maintain a high standard of service in local law enforcement.
