Tawhidul Ummah Madrasa yesterday organised a memorial meeting and doa mahfil in honour of the late Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Tayeb, founder-director of Segunbagan Talimul Quran Complex and president of the Chattogram Private Madrasa Association. The programme, held at the madrasa auditorium, was presided over by Mohammad Shah Alam, chairman of SA Family Limited and the madrasaโs founding president.
Speakers at the event recalled Hafiz Tayeb as a dedicated religious leader and a man of modest character. They highlighted his lifelong commitment to establishing and developing Islamic educational institutions in the region.
Special guests included Ariful Islam, principal of Al-Hameem Institute; Nazim Uddin Chowdhury Annel, member of the madrasa management committee; Maulana Mahbubur Rahman, principal of An-Nisa Academy; Islamic scholar Mufti Nur Muhammad; Maulana Mahmudul Haque; Maulana Md Abu Tayeb; social worker Alhaj Md Zahir Uddin; SA Family official and social activist Mohammad Yusuf; Mufti Maulana Anwar Ibrahim; and Maulana Md Jubayer.
In his remarks, Mohammad Shah Alam said, โThose who work in the path of Allah never truly die. They end their worldly journey and become guests of Allah. Hafiz Tayeb was a pioneer in religious education and a man of great simplicity.โ
