Mirsarai Association Chattogram holds memorial for Principal Mohiuddin, writer Shah Alam Nipu and Chairman Harun

Mirsarai Association Chattogram on Saturday (August 16) organised a memorial and doa mahfil in honour of three eminent figures of Mirsarai at Mirsarai Bhaban in H Block of Halishahar Housing Estate, Chattogram.
The programme commemorated Professor Mohammad Mohiuddin, former Principal of Sir Ashutosh Government College and former adviser and patron of the association; freedom fighter and writer Shah Alam Nipu, a Senate member of the University of Chittagong and former adviser and patron of the association; and Nasir Uddin Harun, patron of the association and former Chairman of Hinguli Union Parishad.
The event was presided over by the associationโs President Mahfuzul Haque Moni, while General Secretary Touhid Uddouza Bhuiyan conducted the proceedings.
Founding President of the association M A Taher, advisers Professor Shamsud Doha Chowdhury, Advocate Abdul Mannan, Kamrul Hasan Harun, Dr Mohammad Kamal Uddin, and guest Professor Kaiyum Nizami spoke on the occasion.
On behalf of the families of the deceased, Professor Md Ibrahim, Nazma Akter, Zahed Nizami, and Nafiz Sadekin delivered speeches.
Senior Vice-President ATM Manjurul Haque Bahar, Vice-Presidents Yunus Bhuiyan, Md Abdullah, M A Rahim, and Md Kamal Uddin, among others, also addressed the gathering.
