The historic Mohammedia Khanqah Sharif in Jalalabad, West Khulshi, has become a centre of spiritual devotion as part of the 12-day observance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). On Tuesday, September 2, the Khanqah hosted the eighth day of the celebrations, drawing large numbers of devotees.
The event was presided over by Ashiq-e-Rasul Muhammad Kamrul Islam, chief khadem of Mohammedia Khanqah Sharif and president of the Mohammedia Kafela Unity Council. A welcome address was delivered by Syed Muhammad Sorowar Alam, a descendant of the Chattogram Darbar Sharif.
The keynote speech was given by Mawlana Shihab Uddin Al-Qaderi, khatib of Patiya Bayt-ur-Rahmat Jame Mosque. Other speakers included Golam-e-Amir Md Abdur Rahim Amiri, Allama Hafiz Qari Mawlana Mir Muhammad Rashedul Alam, and Mawlana Alhaj Muhammad Zakaria.
The session was conducted by Advocate Mir Muhammad Ferdous Alam Selim, while prayers were led by Sheikh Sultan Shahzada Muhammad Hasan, deputy sajjadanshin of Sultan Shah Darbar.
Also present were Abu Ahmad Azhari, khatib of Kalpalok Residential Model Mosque; freedom fighter Rustam Ali; Mawlana Monsurul Alam; Saiful Islam Sohas; SM Zahidul Islam Mithu; Shahabuddin Saifu; Robiul; Asif Reza; and Mostafizur Rahman Munna, among others.
Devotees from across Chattogram and beyond joined the gathering, which featured recitation of the Qurโan, hamd-naโat, salawat, and discussions on the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Mohammedia Khanqah has once again become a spiritual hub, radiating the love and message of the Prophet.
