Human Chain in Shershah Demands Foot Over Bridge and Action Against Drug Trade

A human chain was formed in Shershah demanding the construction of a modern foot over bridge and speed breakers from Shershah Square to Banglabazar, as well as protesting against the growing influence of drug dealers and the deterioration of law and order in the area.
The program was presided over by noted social worker and businessman Mohammad Mamun Alam, while it was conducted by social workers and businessmen Jahangir Alam Babu and Abdur Rashid Titu.
Distinguished guests present included Professor Nurul Huda, advisor of Patiya S. Alam College; Aminul Islam Babul, Sardar of Fakirpahar Maizpahar Mahalla Committee; Mosharraf Hossain Majumder, General Secretary of Smart Health Club; Advocate Abu Taher, President of Dr. Majharul Haque High School; guardian representative Saber Ahmed Tarzen; Sheikh Alauddin, General Secretary of Shershah Housing Estate Jame Mosque; Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Senior Vice-President of Baitul Mokarram Jame Mosque; Sergeant Abu Taher, General Secretary of Baitul Haq Jame Mosque; Mohammad Abul Kalam Abu, General Secretary of Baitul Mamun Jame Mosque; noted businessman and social worker Jafar Ahmed Khokon; and Nazmul Haque Babu, President of Shershah Business Welfare Association.
Imams of different mosques across Shershah, Fakirpahar, Maizpahar, and Banglabazar, along with representatives of business associations and leaders of various socio-cultural organizations, also took part in the demonstration.
Participants demanded the urgent construction of a foot over bridge and speed breakers to ensure safe movement across the busy road. They also called upon the authorities to take strict measures against drug dealers and criminals to restore peace and security in the locality.
