Monirul Islam Yousuf Re-elected Vice Chairman of Chattogram Red Crescent Unit

Bir Muktijoddha Md. Monirul Islam Yousuf has been re-elected as the Vice Chairman of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Societyโ€™s Chattogram district unit.

Meanwhile, Abdul Awal Chowdhury has been relieved of his position as Secretary, with Iftikhar Hossain Chowdhury Mohsin taking over the post.

The changes were confirmed through a circular signed by the societyโ€™s Secretary General on 24 September.

Monirul Islam Yusuf, a leader from Chattogram-1 (Mirsarai), also serves as the central Vice President of Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal and is the Chairman of Barotakia Group. His ancestral home is in Khaiyachhara Union under Mirsarai upazila.

By virtue of office, the committee will be chaired by the Additional Divisional Commissioner (Overall) of Chattogram and the Administrator of the Zila Parishad.
