Abdul Awal Appointed New Chattogram Deputy Commissioner

CHITTAGONG,ย  21 September (CTG MAIL )

The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) for Chattogram, Narsingdi, and Naogaon.

A notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday (September 21) said that Mohammad Abdul Awal, DC of Naogaon, has been transferred to Chattogram. Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Deputy Secretary of the Health Education and Family Welfare Division, has been made DC of Narsingdi, while Monira Haque, Deputy Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division, has been appointed DC of Naogaon.

Ahead of the 13th parliamentary election, the government has been reshuffling deputy commissioners, who play a key role in field administration. Earlier on August 25, new DCs were appointed in six districts: Patuakhali, Kushtia, Kurigram, Meherpur, Netrokona, and Khulna.
