Muktijoddha Major Mostafa College in Mirsarai welcomed its 2025โ26 batch of eleventh-grade students in a festive atmosphere on Monday (September 15). The daylong programme, held at the college auditorium, drew students, teachers, guardians, and local dignitaries.
Professor Shamsuddoha, former principal of Chattogram City College, attended as the chief guest. In his address, he urged students to focus not only on academic success but also on character building, time management, and honesty, which he said form the essence of true education. โYou are the ones who will take the country forward. Set your goals now and pursue them with determination,โ he told the freshers.
College Principal Mizanur Rahman presided over the event. Among the special guests were the college founder freedom fighter Major Mohammad Mostafa, former principal of Mirsarai Degree College Md Nurul Absar, founding member Md Shamim Reza, and Mirsarai Association Chattogram President Mahfuzul Haque Moni.
Heads of several local schoolsโincluding Md Abdullah of Bishwo Dorbar High School, Jamshed Alam of Mithachhara High School, and Shafiul Alam of Mithanala High Schoolโwere also present. The event was conducted by students Nabila, Imon, and Jakia, under the guidance of lecturers Md Forkan Bin Ahmed and Md Shahnewaz.
Muktijoddha Major Mostafa College has, in recent years, gained the trust of students and guardians in Mirsarai for its strong academic record, peaceful environment, dedicated faculty, apolitical and safe campus, and transport facilities for students from distant areas.
