Cultural organisation International Bishwotan on Friday celebrated the birthday of Lion GM Saidur Rahman Mintu, President of JASAS (Jatiyatabadi Sangskritik Sangstha) Panchlaish Thana unit, at the Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM) Chattogram campus.

The event was attended by members of various professional, cultural, and alumni organisations where Mintu holds key leadership and advisory roles. He is also the president of BIM Alumni Society, sole advisor to Chattogram Compliance Society, and an advisor to International Bishwotan.

The celebration began with officials from the Chattogram Compliance Society — President Nazim Uddin Sagar, General Secretary Asaduzzaman Russell, and Joint General Secretary Abu Ridwan Pavel — cutting a cake and presenting floral greetings.

Nazim Uddin Chowdhury Enel, founder of Bangladesh Welfare Society, also extended birthday wishes, followed by greetings from the chairman and principal of Chattogram Northern Public School.

Representatives of the BIM Alumni Society, including Advocate Humayun Kabir Himu (General Secretary), Sajjad Hossain Sajal (Treasurer), Sadia Afrin (Joint Secretary), Gunjan Deb (Education and Research Secretary), and executive members Borhan Uddin, Abdur Rahim, and Naimul, joined in presenting floral tributes.

From JASAS Panchlaish, General Secretary Riaz Uddin Chowdhury Shahed, Vice President Md Faruk, Treasurer Md Nasir, Assistant Organising Secretary Md Hasan, and Publicity Secretary Md Sumon were present.

Others in attendance included Chattogram city JASAS Joint Convenor Syed Zia, women’s leader Naju, cultural artist SB Sumi, and key members of International Bishwotan including Founder-President Norensaha and General Secretary Aparna Roy.

Speakers praised Lion GM Saidur Rahman Mintu’s contributions to cultural activism and civic leadership in Chattogram. The event concluded with a ceremonial cake-cutting and group photo.
