The ninth day of the 12-day-long Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) observance was held on Wednesday (3 September) at the historic Mohammedia Khanqah Sharif in Jalalabad, West Khulshi, Chattogram.
The event was presided over by Ashiqe Rasul Muhammad Kamrul Islam, Chief Khadem of Mohammedia Khanqah Sharif and President of Mohammadia Kafela Oikya Parishad. Kamrul Islam, who has long been at the forefront of promoting unity, spirituality, and the message of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), has transformed the Khanqah into a spiritual hub attracting devotees from across the country.
In his address, he emphasized that โMilad-un-Nabi is not only a celebration but also a platform to spread the Prophetโs teachings of peace, brotherhood, and compassion throughout society.โ
Syed Atikul Islam Maizbhandari, descendant of the Maizbhandar family, attended as the chief guest. Distinguished speakers included Mawlana Muhammad Zahedul Islam Sheikh, member of Al-Quran Research Centre Dhaka and television Tafsir commentator; Islamic scholar and researcher Mufti Mawlana Muhammad Saleh Sufiyan Farhadabadi Maizbhandari; and Mawlana Muhammad Manjurul Alam Noori, Khatib of Sitakunda Upazila Model Mosque and Superintendent of Hazrat Yasin Shah (R.) Sunnia Dakhil Madrasa.
The programme was conducted by Advocate Mir Muhammad Ferdous Alam Selim. Among others present were Abu Ahmad Azhari, Khatib of Kalpolok Residential Model Mosque, Mawlana Mansurul Alam, Saiful Islam Sohas, SM Zahidul Islam Mithu, Shahabuddin Saifu, Rabbiul, Asif Reza, and Mostafizur Rahman Munna.
Thousands of devotees from Chattogram and other parts of Bangladesh attended the gathering.
Under Muhammad Kamrul Islamโs leadership, Mohammedia Khanqah Sharif continues to serve as a beacon of love, devotion, and the timeless teachings of the Prophet (PBUH).
