Mohammad Kamrul Islam has been elected as the Information and Technology Secretary of the newly formed Central Executive Committee (2025โ2027) of the Bangladesh Kindergarten Association (BKA).
The oath-taking and inauguration ceremony of the new committee was held on Friday at 4 PM at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy auditorium in Dhaka. The event also included a discussion session and a reception for meritorious students who received scholarships.
The programme was presided over by Alhaj Dr. Md. Hasan Ali, with moderation by Sayeed Abul Kalam Azad and Alhaj Uddin Rohit.
Emeritus Professor Dr. Shahjahan Khan, Vice-Chancellor of the Asian University of Bangladesh, was present as the chief guest.
The welcome address was delivered by Prof. H. M. Nazrul Islam, Organizational Secretary of BKA.
Among other special guests were Prof. Nazrul Islam, Controller of Examinations at City University, and BKA Advisor Prof. Dr. Md. Elias.
The chief guest administered the oath to all 51 members of the central executive committee, including Mohammad Kamrul Islam.
Kamrul Islam has been associated with BKEA since 1995. He holds a BSc (Honours) in Physics (1994), an MSc (1995), an MBA (2006), and an LLB (2013). In addition to his long-standing dedication to education, he has also been involved in journalism and various social and organizational initiatives.
In his post-election remarks, Kamrul Islam expressed his gratitude to the BKA leadership and members, stating:
> โTo ensure collective progress, we must strengthen our social and professional networks within the association. Better communication, collaboration, and mutual support can lead to meaningful outcomes for all.โ
He further emphasized the importance of enhancing the quality of education provided by kindergarten institutions:
> โMillions of children are enrolled in kindergartens across the country. It is imperative that the government and all stakeholders take necessary steps to improve the standard of education in these schools.โ
Kamrul Islam also extended his heartfelt thanks to the organizers for hosting a well-arranged and impactful event.
