The Mohammedia Khanqah Sharif in West Khulshi, Jalalabad, Chattogram, continues to host its 12-day program marking Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). On Monday, September 1, the seventh day of the observance drew a surge of devotees from Chattogram and other parts of Bangladesh, filling the Khanqah with spiritual fervor.
The dayโs proceedings were led by the Khanqahโs chief caretaker, Ashiq-e-Rasul Muhammad Kamrul Islam. Activities included Qurโan recitations, Hamd and Naโat performances, collective prayers, and Seerat discussions focusing on the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Organizers described the event as a platform for promoting peace, compassion, and devotion through the Prophetโs example.
Mufti Abidul Haque Nakshe Bandi Mojaddedi, Assistant Professor at Dimuda Rahmania Fazil Madrasa in Habiganj, attended as chief guest, urging followers to adopt the Prophetโs values in building a just society. Maulana Md. Abu Yusuf Taheri, Khatib of Maizpara Central Jame Mosque, spoke as special discussant, highlighting the importance of unity and brotherhood in the Muslim community.
The session was moderated by Advocate Mir Muhammad Ferdous Alam Selim. Other notable participants included scholars, community leaders, and freedom fighter Rustam Ali.
As the Khanqah becomes a hub of devotion each evening, organizers said the programs will continue in the same spirit until the concluding day, when thousands are expected to join the grand Akheri Munajat.
