A large Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) gathering was held on Friday, 21 November, at the Rahmatabad Government Primary School ground in Mirsaraiโs Mithanala Union marking the inauguration of the An-Noor Library in Rahmatabad village.
Deputy Attorney General Advocate Saifur Rahman attended the event as the chief guest. Distinguished educationist and social worker, and Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islamiโs Mirsarai upazila unit, Maulana Nurul Kabir, was present as special guest.
Dr Maulana Mahmudul Hasan, former chairman of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the International Islamic University Chittagong and Khatib of Chattogramโs Olikha Jame Mosque, delivered the keynote sermon. Former principal of Sufia Nuria Fazil Madrasa Maulana Rezaul Haq Nizami addressed the audience as the chief discussant.
Speeches were also delivered by Maulana Moniruzzaman, associate professor at Alamshapara Kamil Madrasa and Khatib of Nizampur College Jame Mosque; Maulana Alauddin of Madbarhat Islamia Fazil Madrasa; Maulana Emdadul Haq Nizami of Abu Torab Central Jame Mosque; Hafiz Maulana Kalimullah; Maulana Nurunnabi of Fakirhat Jame Mosque; Hafiz Maulana Alauddin of Sarwar Ali Qari Jame Mosque; Hafiz Maulana Ridwanullah of Bamnashundar Darogarhat Jame Mosque; and banker Maulana Ashraful Mawla along with Sheikh Farid.
Presiding over the programme, Maulana Mohammad Kefayet Ullah, principal of Darul Irfan Academy, Chattogram, said speakers emphasised that Islam is a complete way of life and that the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is essential for the welfare of humanity in both worldly and spiritual spheres.
The event concluded with a prayer session led by the presiding scholar.
