Shadeen Manobik Forum held an executive committee discussion on Friday (September 5) at 7 pm at an upscale restaurant in Chattogram.
The meeting was presided over by the forumโs president, writer and journalist Mohammad Kamrul Islam, while general secretary Lion Md Faruk Ahmed conducted the session.
Among the executive members present were vice-president lyricist Abdul Hakim Salauddin Kader Lavlu, joint general secretary Mohammad Nur Uddin, organizing secretary Md Ruhul Amin Salman, finance secretary Abdullah Al Mamun, joint finance secretary Mominul Haque Khokon, office secretary Rubel Hossain Neel, publicity secretary Md Jahangir Alam, education secretary Manzur Ahmed, and environment secretary Mohammad Main Uddin. Social worker AQM Musleh Uddin, childrenโs writer Kutub Uddin Bakhteyar, and social worker Helal Uddin also attended.
The discussion covered topics including the forumโs constitution, bank account, and government registration. Future plans such as tree plantation and other humanitarian initiatives were also outlined.
In his address, president Mohammad Kamrul Islam said the forum has always worked to raise public awareness and revive social values. โLoving an organization means practicing greatness, humanity, and compassion,โ he remarked.
He further noted that intolerance, unrest, and moral decline are eroding society, stressing the need to promote healthy culture and humanitarian practices. Quoting philosopher Confucius, he added: โOne who wishes well for others, in fact, ensures his own welfare.โ
